If you are having a Catholic ceremony, you should hire a Catholic Wedding Photographer.
If you’re reading this, you’re engaged! You’re preparing to enter into the beautiful vocation of marriage with the person the Lord has placed in your life. What a gift. Congratulations! The Importance of Hiring a Catholic Wedding Photographer is that your day will be documented by someone who understands the sacredness of the Sacrament and can prayerfully capture every moment. I was married in 2025 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL, and it was the greatest blessing of my life.
Getting married in the Catholic Church is something deeply sacred. There are so many quiet, meaningful moments woven into the Mass that can easily be overlooked if you don’t understand their significance. Of course, there are incredible photographers who aren’t Catholic who can beautifully document your wedding. But there is something special about having someone there who understands the weight of what is happening, who will pray for you and your marriage, and who can quietly witness and celebrate the sacrament alongside you.

Reverence in a Catholic Mass
Reverence is at the heart of a Catholic wedding. You aren’t simply having a ceremony in a beautiful church. You are celebrating a Sacrament and entering into marriage before God. It is incredibly important to me that my work as a Catholic wedding photographer never distracts from what is happening at the altar.
During the Nuptial Mass, I move quietly, respect the guidelines of your parish, and know when to step back. I’m there to document the moments that matter without turning the Mass into a photoshoot. From the Consecration and receiving the Eucharist to the homily, exchanging rings, the blessing of the lazo and arras, and of course, your first kiss as spouses, I’m paying attention to it all while allowing you and your loved ones to remain fully present.
As a traveling Catholic wedding photographer, I have the gift of documenting Catholic marriages throughout the United States and internationally. Bringing together my love for photography and my Catholic faith has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
Your wedding day is sacred, and your photographer should understand the weight of what they are there to witness. Someone who values reverence, prayer, and the beauty of the Sacrament. Someone who will pray for you and your marriage, while preserving every moment of your wedding day.
